This yarn is really fluffy and also soft, not scratchy at all. You can substitute the silk-mohair lace yarn with Klaut, they have just about the same yardage, they are both fluffy and silky. But baby suri alpaca is much softer than mohair, so you can wear this if mohair bothers you.

You can use it on its own (bigger needles recommended!) for a shawl or even a sweater, but its most common use is to have it as a second strand, usually held together with a fingering weight yarn.
