I cannot tell you how happy I was when I figured out that we can knit a fully gradient sweater with the Snowpine pattern by Wool & Pine! The pattern can be purchased on ravelry or directly on woolandpine.com – this kit is for the yarn only!

We offer the kit on four yarn bases: Marmar, Snek, Kiau and Namba2. All are fingering weight, Marmar has 50% silk, 50% merino wool, Snek is 100% superwash merino wool, Kiau has 90% merino, 10% linen (single ply) and Namba2 has 65% merino, 20% silk and 15% yak (single ply).

Kiau has 10% linen (which cannot be dyed with the acid dyes we use), so the result on this yarn will be a bit lighter than on yarn bases with just animal fibers.

Namba2 has 15% yak which is a dark fiber, thus this yarn base’s natural color is a grayish brown – this means that light colors are not really visible on this base (in some cases we use a bit more dye but in other cases I wouldn’t recommend getting this base because you wouldn’t see the color at all – in these cases I don’t list the option for Namba2). On the other hand, all colors are deepened on this base because of the brown color of the base.

The kit contains 4 gradient balls in the same colorway:

2x100g for front and back and 2x50g (for sizes 1-4) or 2x60g (for sizes 5-7) for the sleeves. For exact measurements, see below.
